The book “Régimen Jurídico de la Asistencia a la Salud a propósito del Sistema Nacional Integrado de Salud”, written by members of the Public Law area of Olivera & Delpiazzo under the coordination of Dr. Carlos Delpiazzo, was held at the Auditorium of the Medical Labor Union (Sindicato Médico). The presentation was directed by Dr. Antonio Turnes, a renowned doctor and author of numerous publications; Felipe Rotondo Tornaría, Professor of Administrative Law at Universidad de la República and Universidad de Montevideo; and Accountant George Mahy, on behalf of the Foundation “Cultura Universitaria”. Dr. Carlos Delpiazzo was in charge of the culmination of this event, which gathered senior managers and professionals from many health companies.
The book is the result of a collective and interdisciplinary work coordinated by Dr. Carlos Delpiazzo, which approaches the topic from the Labor and Social Security Law and Constitutional Law.
In the book all the legislative acts from the new National Integrated Health System are analyzed from a legal perspective. With this purpose, it examines the fundamental right to health and the duty of caring it; the role of government in health care; the national regulatory evolution in which is inserted the new sector; its foundational bases; its financing; the provision scheme (as in public and private circle) and the rights and duties of patients, users and medical staff. |
